Little Farm in the Woods Artemis

Probaby Type C    DOB 3/10/19

This little monkey is a tiny compact girl and I love her dark fleece! Often black goats will have light grey fleece, so I'm loving that hers is dark. It also have a lovely fine texture that likely comes from her sire from Little Hawk Farms that is known for their fine fleeces. I also like how square she is with good bone.

Wins

Possibly Type B    DOB 3/16/19

I enjoy having this sweet girl in my herd. Just such a laid back, friendly girl. She has some very interesting "earring" wattles that are just under her ears which is very unique. Lovely, light fleece with lots of ringlets, and solid conformation on this girl.

Gumption

Crickview Ranch Gumption
Type C  (really more like a B)     DOB 3/10/19

This is a VERY OLD PHOTO! I just keep forgetting to take a new one! Gumption is out my very best lines. We almost lost this girl as a kid to birth chill, but she had the gumption to keep fighting, and hence her name. She still has gumption and in fact now can be a little bit of a stinker sometimes! The kids she produced in 2023 were gorgeous and one of her kids in 2024 (sired by Arrowhead) won Diamond award at OFFF 2024 as a buckling! (A total upset since not only do Pygoras rarely win, but I've never seen a kid win!) â€‹

Lupe

Little Hawk Farm Lupe
Type B     DOB 3/15/22

I am delighted to add Lupe to our herd from Little Hawk Farm. She comes from lines with very fine fiber, some of them being double registered with the Cashmere Goat Society. Her conformation is nice and solid with good balance. She is a very sweet, gentle girl that I enjoy having in the herd.

We lost Clara in the Spring 2020 from kidding complications. She produced a lot of my really outstanding kids through the years and it was very sad to see you go so young. She was a grand daughter of Chimera Creek Leia and sired by my Grand Champion buck Applebright Farm Vino Rosso.

Lady is a sweet older lady and a lovely, good natured girl. She is done having kids, but I was glad for this great old lady to live out her days here on the farm. She is Libby's dam.

Leia is my all-time favorite doe. Fabulous confirmation and fiber, but also just the sweetest, kindest goat ever. She is the foundation dam of many of the best goats I have produced and from a great line, Chimera Creek Ranch. She has passed away now and I still miss this sweet girl!

Wini

Wini Mar09 DSC04373.JPG

Verdant Vistas Winifred
Type C

Oh what can I say about Wini. Such a sweet, and amiable girl. She was one of my first original three Pygoras and from a once well known Pygora line. Her fiber was very unique and I wish I would be able to produce another goat like it. She was Type C, so was shorn only once a year, but she did not shed out, so her fiber was insanely fine but still a good 3" staple length. Sadly because of some health issues, I retired her from breeding before I could keep a kid from her, so I am missing her line in my current herd.
