We have a very small flock of Copper Black Marans chickens. We are getting some beautiful dark eggs with good fertility. My Marans come from mostly Wade Jean lines and a few from Ron Presley. All hens and roosters have feathered legs according to the french standard, although some are quite feathered and some are more sparse. Along with good egg color, I try to breed for good conformation, but I am not a poultry judge so I do the best I can with my breeding decisions!
