Bucks and Wethers

Hawks Mt. Ranch
LookAtYou Buckaroo

PBA Pygora - BUCK
Black with Dark Grey Type A Fleece
72.9% Angora, 27.1% Pygmy

Buckaroo was the top choice buckling in the 2008 Hawks Mt. Ranch batch of kids. When I went to pick him up, they tried to convince me not to take him because they wanted to keep him! His fleece is incredible - a gorgeous gun-metal grey that fads to a beautiful chocolate color. His fleece was one of the finest of my kid fleeces when tested this year. The judge at 2008 OFFF thought he was a very regal boy and liked his fleece, but he was a little smaller than the other bucklings so placed a little farther down the line for 5th place. So far his personality is friendly and confident and he is very easy to handle.

5th place out of class of 10 at OFFF 2008
3rd place for his fleece in the PBA sanctioned fleece show at OFFF 2009

Grogan is a beautiful boy and so very friendly. He passes on that great personality to his kids, and usually lovely color too. Grogan also has a great background for conformation - His mother won Best of Breed, Supreme Best Udder and Grand Champion Senior Doe at the Oregon State Fair in 2008. Grogan is one of my favorite goats, and we love seeing all the beautiful babies he produces.

Xtraordinary Xavier

PBA Pygora - WETHER - DOB 3/16/09
Grey Agouti with Silver Type B Fleece

FOR SALE $75

Xavier is out of Xanadu and Buckaroo and he is one of my all time favorite goats. His fleece is extraordinarily soft and thick, and is a fabulous silvery white. He is a very conident friendly goat and is fun to have in the herd. But I have a few too many wethers and so have decided to part with him. (He is about a year old right now, so not full grown).

5th place at OFFF 2009

PCA Goat WETHER - DOB 3/10/09
Light greyish brown Type B Fiber

FOR SALE $50

Hershey has wonderful, soft fiber. And he is a really friendly guy who would make a wonderful pet and fiber producer. His fiber has become a little more grey/light brown than it looks in the picture, still a very pretty color, but not as chocolate. I enjoy his personality a lot and hope he can find a great home.

Mine Valentine

PCA Goat WETHER - DOB 3/2/08
Brown with Light Brown Type B Fiber

Valentine has lovely Type C fiber that is exceptionally long. His first fleece measured 17.3 microns and was over 3 inches. And even in the summer he is covered from head to tail. He is also a very sweet goat- that's why we named him Valentine - because he was such a lover as a kid and just wanted to be held all the time. He has recently become a little more shy, but would become friendly again, I'm sure, with a little TLC. I have too many wethers right now, so have decided to part with him. (Valentine is about 2 years old).

PCA Goat Buck - DOB 6/5/05
Brown with White Belly Band - Light Brown Type B Fleece

Vespucci has gone to live at Peppermint Pastures now, but was our first buck. He fathered one set of kids Spring 2008 and another this Spring 2009. He has lovely fiber and color that often to passes to his kids. His son, Valentine, out of Wini placed first at OFFF in 2008. His micron count has held its fineness - actually gotten finer (probably because of the move to a different climate and feed when he came to us). We miss him, but know that he is happy at Peppermint Pastures with lots of other bucks to rough-house with.
